This is a follow up post of a previous one just using Matlab instead of Python. In the following paragraphs, I will show my way of reading and writing CSV ﬁles using Matlab. If you happen to know a better or more elegant solution, please drop a comment!
This page explains installation and conﬁguration of dovecot 2 as shipped with Ubuntu 12.04LTS. For the installation of dovecot 1.2, e. g. on Ubuntu 10.04LTS, please check this page.
Dovecot IMAP, POP3, and Sieve services along with MySQL support are installed using the following command.
sudo aptitude install dovecot-imapd dovecot-pop3d dovecot-sieve dovecot-mysql dovecot-managesieved
If you use Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, read the child section regarding Dovecot 1.2.
If you use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, read the child section regarding Dovecot 2.

Since CSV (comma-separated-values) ﬁles are supported by almost every statistics and/or math tool, I sticked to use the format for all my data collections.
